Molly's Jelly Roll Quilt Top
My biggest Christmas surprise was receiving this gorgeous Batik quilt top from my friend Molly in Maine. Last November we both got busy sewing up a Jelly Roll using a quick piecing method I'd found online. Her fabric is from an earth colored Bali Pop. I was stunned to find this in the box she mailed and we thought was lost. No wonder she was frantic - I had no clue. Isn't it warm and luscious looking? What a beautiful lap quilt for my living room this gift will make. I'm so honored Molly parted with it because she loves Batiks as much as I do, but most of all, this piece ends the 6 yr. quilt drought Molly has been in since relocating to Maine. She says this quilt wouldn't have materialized without me spurring her on so it is a win win for both of us. So few friends give me anything they make because they think I can just make my own quilt related items. True, but how I love knowing that every time I look at or use a handmade gift, it brings that person lovingly to the forefront of my mind. Thanks Molly!

It's gorgeous! Way to go on inspiring Molly - that's worth more than 100 quilts. Nicely done, both of you :)
